Planning permission granted for seven storey student accommodation in Newcastle
Newcastle City Council have granted planning permission for the building of a seven story student accommodation block.
Manchester-based firm Day Architectural plans to build 35 clusters, with 178 beds as well as 191 studio apartments at Blandford Square, Newcastle city centre.
The property will have a ground floor reception, lounge, cinema room and associated car parking, cycle storage, and refuse storage.
Day Architectural is also responsible for the £8 million St James Point development on Pitt Street in Newcastle city centre.
The firm has also carried out various similar developments in Liverpool, including the 323 room Glass Works property on Vauxhall Road and Citrus House on Dale Street.
The company has stated that deliveries will be timed not to conflict with peak times and avoid congestion onto the building site.
