Accountants help climbing centre scale heights of success
State-of-the-art climbing centre, Boardroom Climbing in Flintshire, North Wales has been a huge success in the region since it opened late last year, setting a new standard in innovation for climbing walls in the UK.
The initiative was the brainchild of Lee Browning and David Thomas, who between them have 30 years’ experience working as senior instructors in the outdoor leisure industry.
The Boardroom was created inside a giant storage warehouse on Rectors Lane Industrial Estate in Pentre, Queensferry.
Lee Browning at Boardroom Climbing said: “We are delighted at the interest the centre is creating and funding support from the Welsh Government was extremely helpful as in the current financial climate it is difficult to get funding – particularly for more unusual projects like the Boardroom Climbing Centre.
Merseyside DSG accountants and business advisors offered the climbing centre advice on several matters, including the capital structure of the company and assisting them with their cash flow predictions and the implementation of accounting systems.
The firm will continue to assist the business with routine matters such as VAT returns and the Directors personal tax positions.
Lee continues: “DSG have been really helpful from the start. We are really impressed with their quick response and invaluable knowledge every time we have needed their support.”
Partner at DSG, Chris Wheatley, said: “This has been a very exciting project with which to be involved.
“Seeing it develop from an empty industrial unit into a premier indoor climbing destination has been very satisfying and we know that it will quite literally be “onwards and upwards” for The Boardroom Climbing Limited from here.”
DSG provide a range of tax, audit, and business advice, with offices in North Wales, Liverpool, Bootle and Southport.
