Ports operator RMS Group has strengthened its commercial team to capitalise on unprecedented investments around the Humber.

RMS chief executive Peter Aarosin said: “Despite the downturn in the economy from 2008 through to last year, which was reflected in ports activity, the company has continued to go from strength to strength.
“Now the business is once more growing very strongly and we are looking to take further advantage of an expanding market.”
Simpson Millar, Helen Forster, Victoria Walker and Dan Rosenberg
Law firm Simpson Millar has announced a trio of promotions in its annual partnership review.
Victoria Walker and Dan Rosenberg have been recognised for their significant contribution to the firm’s Family Law and Education Law divisions and have been made Salaried Partners, bringing the total number of such to 38 across Simpson Millar’s 13 office network.
Meanwhile, rising star Helen Forster has been made an Associate with the firm, to go with her recent nomination in the same category at the Yorkshire Legal Awards.
“I’m delighted to make these announcements and would like to congratulate Victoria, Dan and Helen who thoroughly deserve their promotions,” says Peter Watson, Managing Partner at Simpson Millar.
“Victoria’s practice specialises in family law and she has shown considerable expertise in guiding clients through these often traumatic circumstances with great care and attention. She is a credit to the family law team here at Simpson Millar, which is continually growing as evidenced by our recent acquisition of Foster & Partners in Bristol.
“Dan is part of our nationally recognised Education, Community Care and Public Law team based in London and since joining in 2010 has been a genuine star. He works tirelessly for clients referred by charities, advocacy organisations and other agencies and has been duly recognised in the Legal 500 and Chambers & Partners.”
“Finally, Helen’s rise in our private clients’ team has been very impressive. Since qualifying in 2009, she has shown herself to be an excellent lawyer, with a particular strength in estate planning so her elevation to Associate with Simpson Millar is richly deserved.
