Kids 1st Nurseries moves into Bowesfield Park in Stockton
A North East nursery has become the latest commercial occupant of Bowesfield Park in Stockton.
Kids 1st Nurseries has opened the doors of their new premises on the Bowesfield Park development, which sits on the banks of the River Tees in Stockton and includes an integrated wildlife conservation area
The new premises are located on Cygnet Drive, just off Bowesfield Lane, and has 108 places for children aged three months to five years, with up to 25 full-time staff working on site.
Kids 1st signed up with Durham-based Banks Property, part of The Banks Group, to take a 3,035 sq metre site at Bowesfield, with work on building the new nursery taking around four months to complete.
Alison Winship, head of childcare at Kids 1st Nurseries, says: “Our existing nurseries in Wynyard and Darlington have proved very successful, and we were looking for a new location that would enable us to extend our operations across the local area.
“The Bowesfield site offered the space we needed, both within the nursery and around the local area, to provide children with the opportunity to be active and get out and about, which ties in with the overall Kids 1st philosophy.
“This is our tenth site in the North East in what is our tenth anniversary year, and we’re excited about the opportunities that it will bring.”
