Waterproof Infrared Heater creates outdoor heating solution for Garden lovers

Yorkshire bases marquee and gazebo manufacturers Gala Tent Ltd have introduced an energy-efficient design heater for the home and garden to their range of products. Designers of the aptly named Technoheater note that it “blurs the boundary between indoor and outdoor spaces”. If we associate interior spaces as those that are warm and sheltered from the elements, what’s to stop open spaces with infrared heating becoming more welcoming venues? The heater instantly makes people comfortably warm in an otherwise cold environment, (though it’d be just as pleasant to use in any indoor space as well).

Technoheaters use the latest breakthrough technology, with carbon fibre as the heating element. The technology is based on Far Infrared Radiation (FIR), which heats objects by use of radio waves. These radio waves cause pulses in the electromagnetic field that affect ions in the surface area of the skin and as the molecules vibrate, they produce heat. FIR technology is completely safe and makes a person feel comfortably warm. It is also widely used in baby incubators and saunas for its health benefits, as not only does it keep you warm, it actually raises the metabolic rate and makes a person feel better. A recent study by the Department for Environment, Food & Rural Affairs calculated that, on average, a domestic gas-fired patio heater can emit six tonnes of carbon dioxide a year.

With Technoheater, homeowners can be doing their bit to save the environment, by reducing their carbon emissions from outdoor heating systems as Technoheater can reduce carbon emissions by a whopping 85%, and can even get down to a 0% carbon emission when powered by a green electricity source. Homeowners will also find that they are able to make significant savings, as Technoheater features special sensors that register your movement within a radius of five metres, which makes the device go into standby mode in times of inactivity. The heater is also waterproof to IP55 testing standards, and will not become a hazard if any liquids are accidentally spilt onto the unit.

Aside from saving the environment as well as clients’ bank balance, the Technoheater boasts a waterproof & dust proof design as well as sensing if it is not correctly upright and safely turning itself off. The handy remote control also enables users to disable the controls on the front of the unit and is a great feature if you don’t want people tampering with the impressive two heat settings.
