Solution Group supporting school employability project
Tyneside based multi-media design agency Solution Group is supporting youngsters by providing a useful and realistic approach to employment as part of a region-wide business programme.
The Building My Skills (BMS) programme benefits over 60 secondary schools in the North of England, including 31 North East high schools. The scheme has been developed to help young people learn about employability skills in a structured way.
At the launch event at Durham Emirates ICG, Solution Group joined several North East based organisations to bring the world of business and education together. The Solution Group staff will be leading sessions in schools over the next few months helping to explain to students the importance of design in the world of work.
Solution Group has been involved in the design work for information packs, which are given to students taking part, and for co-ordinating the branding of materials across the programme.
As a full service agency helping customers in a range of sectors with branding, web design, illustration and art direction, Solution Group is well-placed to be part of BMS to educate youngsters.
Jonny Sams, director at Solution Group, said: “It’s a pleasure to be involved in the Building My Skills programme. The scheme is very worthwhile for young people to learn about all aspects of business.
“It’s particularly exciting to be asked to speak about our style of work, as it’s creative and no two days are the same.”
