Newcastle design consultancy shines at Edinburgh Fringe
Newcastle design consultancy Room 8 Design have showcased their work at the annual Edinburgh Fringe Festival for the fourth year running.
The boutique design consultancy, owned by Craig Hutton and Paul Scott, produced the festival programme for the impressive Summerhall venue in Edinburgh.
Room 8 Design continues to develop the Summerhall brand that it first established several years ago.
An entire ‘brand environment’ has been established across this award-winning venue including The Royal Dick pub and the venue’s own bespoke Pickering’s Gin.
The latest 104-page Festival programme is a large-format magazine, the contents are divided between the visual arts and the performing arts, featuring artists and work from all over the world.
The programme had a print-run of 20,000 and was handed out free and distributed to key tourist and visitor destinations throughout Edinburgh.
Craig Hutton, creative director and joint owner at Room 8 Design, said: “Summerhall has proved to be a great venue and asset for Edinburgh. From our perspective and a design perspective, it has provided an outstanding backdrop to showcase our own brand skills, highlighting brand development over a number of years.
“We have worked on many specialist projects within the arts and culture sector in recent years but Summerhall has to be among the most exciting and one that’s put our work in front of a national and international audience.”
