Recruitment drive and revenue growth for East Yorkshire insurance brokers

East Yorkshire’s Henderson Insurance Broker’s is celebrating its 10th anniversary while forecasting continued revenue and employee growth as they embark on a recruitment drive.

The company opened an office in Hull in 2004 before moving to the current location in Hessle in 2007, since when revenues and staff numbers have steadily risen.

Earlier this year the Hessle banch placed annual client premiums of more than £10 million for the first time, compared to the £2.2 million the office placed in 2007. In that time it has also doubled the size of its office space and staff numbers have risen from 6 to 17.

This positive outlook for the future is underpinned by a focus on high quality customer care and a broad, independent range of products and services.

Andrew Wakefield, director in Hessle, said: “We are going through a process of steady, organic growth and are very optimistic about what’s on the horizon. After 10 years here business is stronger than ever, and I expect to see our revenues increase by 10 to 20 per cent a year for the foreseeable future.

“The logistics sector is proving to be very fruitful with good levels of activity in haulage, warehousing, and freight forwarding.”

“Other sectors which currently stand out and look like performing well in the future include manufacturing, engineering, construction, professional services, marine and offshore.”

“We specialise in looking after businesses, and have a strong record of client retention built on the quality of our service.”

Henderson is an official partner of World Trade Centre Hull & Humber. It is the only insurance broker in the region that has direct access to the Lloyds of London specialist insurance market, resulting in the best deals for customers.

The group, which started in Lincolnshire in 1986, has head offices at Kirmington, next to Humberside Airport
