Maurice lives it up with Lottery Win
Maurice Henshall is planning the holiday of his dreams to New York City, after bagging the £7,500 rollover prize in the Douglas Macmillan Hospice’s weekly Lottery.
Winning had never crossed Maurice’s mind when Lottery promoter Alison Forrester knocked on his door just five weeks ago and asked if he wanted to join.
Generous Maurice from Fenton, has donated £2,500 back to the Hospice and will use the £5,000 to hit the Big Apple next year and fulfil a life-long ambition.
Maurice Henshall commented,
“I was so shocked to hear I had won as you never expect that phone call.
“I’ve always wanted to go New York so I am planning to go next year with the winnings. It’s really important to support local charities which was the reason behind me joining the Dougie Mac Lottery.”
Donna Adams, Head of Lottery added,
“We would like to congratulate Maurice on his fantastic Lottery rollover win.
“We hope many more local people like Maurice will join us to be in with a chance of winning one of our fantastic cash prizes for just £1 per play.
“All monies from our Lottery raise much needed funds for local adults of North Staffordshire facing a life limiting illness.”
