Independent York caterers wins Science Park contract

York independent caterers, The Nought-E Food Company, has been appointed as the new providers for York Science Park’s Park Central café.

The Café, which is open to visitors and residents on the Science Park, is situated between the Innovation Centre and the Bio Centre and has become popular meeting place since it opened in 2008.

The Nought-E Food Company will be taking over the running of the Café from Monday 1 September 2014 and will be introducing a range of new menu choices.

Vic Giannini, owner/manager of The Nought-E Food Company, said: “We are very excited to be going into Park Central and bringing our enthusiasm and commitment to serving fresh, tasty and healthy food to customers.

“The majority of the menu items are made by ourselves, using locally sourced produce and the best ingredients and we can also accommodate special dietary requirements such as gluten free and vegan.

“We are sure the residents will enjoy the new menu choices and we look forward to serving them in the future.”

The Nought-E Food Company already runs a sandwich shop on Blake Street, and has been providing York Science Park and its residents with outside catering services for a number of years.

It also supplies a number of other businesses around the city with outside catering services, but this is the first time it will have worked in a ‘seated café’ environment.

Tracey Smith, managing director, York Science Park commented: “We have been very impressed with the quality of food and customer service we have received from Vic and her Team on our outside catering and are sure they will do a fantastic job for us.

“Their passion and belief in serving great food with caring customer service is clear and it will be great to see Park Central done the Nought-E way.”
