Wakefield manufacturer to create up to 100 jobs in the next year
Wakefield based modular and portable building manufacturer Thurston Group have succeeding in developing the business abroad resulting in significant growth.
Thurston Group manufactures and provides modular and portable buildings for use in every industry and market sector, including health, education, transport, construction, defence, and telecommunications.
Following a funding boost at the start of the year, the company is now expecting to create between 50 and 100 new jobs over the next twelve months.
The firm, which is based at Quarry Hill estate in Wakefield, is now currently trading in Australia, Belgium, Denmark, Ghana, Norway and Pakistan along with many other European countries.
Jonathan Petch, CEO at Thurston Group said: “Our plans to develop our export market have flourished and as a result trade abroad has increased tremendously. The majority of our website enquiries now come from foreign countries and we are currently trading in Australia, Belgium, Denmark, Ghana, Norway and Pakistan along with many other European countries. We are also currently trying to set up distributorships of our products in Mexico as this market poses huge opportunities for us.”
