Doncaster Rovers owners "in it for the long haul"
Doncaster Rovers’ owners are in it for the long haul, according to Doncaster Rovers chief executive Gavin Baldwin.
Majority shareholders Terry Bramall and Dick Watson, who each own a 24% stake in the club, agreed to sell their respective stakes in the club earlier this year, prior to John Ryan’s proposed takeover collapsing.
However, according to Baldwin, the pair are committed to remaining at Rovers for the long term.
Rovers’ chief executive wrote in his Oldham programme notes: “This is the first opportunity I have had to speak to fans after the announcement of David Blunt as chairman and Dick Watson as president.
“Both of these announcements are a clear signal from the board that they wish to be here for the long term.
“I can assure all fans that neither person would have accepted the role if it was thought at any stage that the club would be sold in the near future.”
