hlw Keeble Hawson climbs high for St Gemma’s

A four strong team from the Leeds office of law firm hlw Keeble Hawson stepped out to raise over £900 for St Gemma’s Hospice after successfully completing the Yorkshire Three Peaks Challenge.

James Martin, Stacey Evans, Adam Ward and Afshan Lone, completed the 24.5 mile walk in less than 12 hours, climbing up to 2,415ft across Pen-Y-Ghent, Whernside and Ingleborough mountains.

hlw Keeble Hawson, one of Yorkshire’s biggest law firms, which also has offices in Doncaster and Sheffield, has raised over £3000 for the hospice – one of its nominated charities - over the past 18 months.

Stacey Evans, chartered legal executive, said: “We wanted to tackle the Yorkshire Three Peaks as we felt it would be a genuine challenge – which it certainly was! However we thoroughly enjoyed the walk and were pleased to have raised funds for such a worthwhile cause.”

St. Gemma’s Hospice provides specialist medical and nursing care for people with life threatening illnesses, predominantly cancer, along with support for their families, in the In-patient unit, by the community care nurses, in the day hospice, or as an out-patient.
