Training and recruiting the right staff adds up to success for accountants Lloyd Piggott
Leading North West full-service accountancy firm Lloyd Piggott has underlined its commitment to team investment with a wave of new appointments and training success stories.
The firm, based in Manchester city, has always committed to investing in up and coming talent from the region.
Now, 20 year old Jordan Taylor has been appointed to a semi-senior position.
Lloyd Piggott will continue to train Jordan, who has joined from another practice, and will broaden his accountancy knowledge by providing support through training programmes, further study and encouraging him to take on additional responsibilities within a broad range of departments.
In addition, Lloyd Piggott has partnered with the North West’s Skills Solutions, one of the largest providers of work based learning for young people and adults in the region.
Through the scheme, 16 year old Lucy Campbell has been recruited into the practice’s administration team.
Lucy chose an apprenticeship scheme over further education, and will be working with the Skills Solutions programme and Lloyd Piggott to gain invaluable work experience, training and qualifications.
Demonstrating Lloyd Piggott’s emphasis on providing training opportunities in order to help team members grow within the practice, the firm has also celebrated the recent success of long standing team member and associate Joanne Beamish.
Joanne graduated from a seven month TOP TEAM leadership course at Lancaster University’s management school in July, which is designed to meet the needs of senior managers looking to make a strategic difference within their organisation.
Sue Redmond, partner at Lloyd Piggott, said: “The team is paramount in a service led business, and as an employer, we acknowledge the benefits training and development can bring to both our clients and the wider organisation.
“With a skilled and experienced team of professionals, we are able to offer our clients real value for money in what can be a competitive and often confusing, yet essential, service for businesses.”
