Dynamites 14 – last call for best to be rewarded

A final call has gone out for the brightest and the best of the North East’s world class IT and technology talent to have their excellence officially recognised.

Entries for Dynamites 14 - the North East’s IT and Technology Awards – close on Friday September 12 and organisers are keen that as many firms as possible seize the opportunity to have their name up in lights.

The awards night next month at Newcastle Civic Centre’s banqueting hall will see more than 200 North East IT economy leaders celebrate the region as a hotbed of creative tech development.

The inaugural awards sponsored by BT feature categories aimed at exciting start ups and established global companies as well as innovators and skills leaders.

Launched by Dynamo North East, the organisation which has brought together the combined might of the region’s enterprise tech sector under one banner, Dynamites 14 will showcase the cream of the sector’s skills.

Dynamo Chairman Charlie Hoult said: “The North East has been a hidden hot spot for IT and the Dynamites are a chance to shine a light on our amazing success stories and celebrate them.

“We’ve had a superb response from the IT and tech community to Dynamites 14 – the awards have really caught their imagination.

“There’s a host of top quality entries already in for the awards, but we want to make sure that every company in the sector has the opportunity to showcase themselves at our awards night on October 15th.

“There’s still time to enter although the entry deadline is looming large, so I’d encourage those who are planning to but haven’t as yet sent in their entry, to do so now.”

“The Dynamites 14 recognise this. They give us the chance to take stock of the sector and its achievements and highlight to the wider business community just how important the tech sector is to the growth of the regional economy.”

As well as self- nominations, entries can be made by any firm in any sector who would like to put forward an outstanding IT organisation or individual.

The grand prix accolade will go to the company deemed to best embody all of Dynamo’s aims of delivering innovation, collaboration and growth with global impact.

Dynamo is the industry led initiative created to focus on the growth of the North East IT sector. It has four key aims – to be a focal point for regional IT growth, promoting the region, developing skills and education and supporting regional research and development.
