Funding opens doors for East Yorkshire manufacturer targeting £9 million turnover

Anlaby door manufacturer Summerbridge Doors has announced expansion plans with funding from Barclays.

Summerbridge Doors, established in 1986 designs and manufactures MDF vinyl wrap doors and accessories for kitchens, bedroom and bathrooms, working across the leisure, contract and retail sectors.

Summerbridge Doors employ 102 staff locally and turnover is expected to exceed £9 million this year. Facilities agreed include a commercial mortgage, development loan, asset finance and working capital.

Steve Waite, company secretary, Summerbridge Doors said: “The transfer to Barclays and the facilities they have made available will enable us to expand the factory and increase production.

“We’ll be able to bring the carcass manufacturing in-house with the additional space and we’re delighted that Barclays has been able to assist with the new funding and secure our growth plans.”
