£15k funding for Barnsley candelry business move to Meadowhall
South Yorkshire candle firm Sibling Candlery has moved the Sheffield-home of its Kringle Candle business into The Lanes at Meadowhall Shopping Centre with NatWest support.
The business had been based in Barnsley but, due to its success, owners Jodi McGinnes and Alison Kayne decided to move it to a new 260 sq ft store in Sheffield to accommodate their growing customer base.
They turned to NatWest relationship manager Dave Sedgwick who obtained £15,800 of funding for the move.
Kringle Candle sells a range of decorative fragrance candles which have been created by the original founder of Yankee Candle.
The products have been available in the UK for the last couple of years and sisters , liked the products so much they decided to open their own business selling the range exclusively.
Jodi said: “They are quality candles at affordable prices which have lovely and inviting smells for all moods. It’s a wonderful product which we both love.”
“Dave has been fantastic to work with. When we opened the business he kept in touch with us to see how we were getting on and was able to facilitate the move. It’s a business we believe in and we want it to be a long term project which we hope NatWest will continue to support in the future.”
Dave said: “I was delighted to support Jodi and Alison and their Kringle Candle business. I wish them every success with the move to Sheffield and for the future.”
