New tearoom to create 15 jobs at The Core Shopping Centre after £350k refurb
The Core Shopping Centre in Leeds, which is in the midst of a multi-million pound refurbishment project, has agreed terms on a new space for a new tearoom and gift shop franchise, CREAMS British Luxury.
CREAMS will open its doors at The Core Shopping Centre following a £350k refurbishment project that will create up to 15 new jobs in the city.
CREAMS, a group of tearooms, was franchised by AKN Solutions Ltd in 2014 by directors Mohammed Kamran, Muhammad Ali Butt and Nisar Hussain.
The new concept, which will offer high tea dining, take-away and a gift shop will be situated on Lands Lane, in close proximity to the newly launched Byron Burger.
The Core Shopping Centre, which already boasts an impressive list of leisure and retail brands, including Waitrose, New Look, JD Sports, Game, Sports Direct, HMV, BANK, Yoghies, The Gym and the newest food and beverage outlet, Burger King, is undergoing major works to create an exciting new food cluster for the city.
Nicola Lavelle, property manager at The Core Shopping Centre said: “We’re extremely pleased to welcome CREAMS British Luxury to The Core.
“Following significant interest in Leeds as a destination for restaurant operators, CREAMS is a unique dining and retail experience, which we know consumers are craving.”
The directors of AKN Solutions Ltd added: “CREAMS personifies sophistication, elegance and luxury – on the high street. It’s a unique concept, which we hope will be as well received as it has been in Huddersfield. Feedback to date has been excellent and we look forward to opening our doors in Leeds.”
