Sponsorship deal renewed for Peterborough football team
A football team from Peterborough will be stepping out in style as the club’s sponsor decided to support the squad for the second year running.
Persimmon Homes East Midlands sponsored Cardea FC last year, but were so impressed with the club they decided to continue their backing this season. It means the entire squad will receive a red and black themed kit, including shirts, shorts and socks.
Club treasurer, Adam Youell, said: “Finding suitable sponsorship can be hard to come by, and it means a lot to the club to have the backing of a company such as Persimmon Homes. Their support certainly helps the players as they now have a new kit to wear.
“The team worked outstandingly hard last season and this renewed sponsorship deal is a great reward for their exceptional efforts.”
Last year, Cardea FC was promoted to Division Two of the Peterborough Sunday Morning Football Division. The club is doing so well that they have also created a new reserve team for the 2014/15 season.
Cheryl Bissett, sales and marketing director for Persimmon Homes East Midlands, said: “Our popular Cardea development is in Stanground, so it is important for us to support the local community.
“The players at Cardea FC are so enthusiastic and work so hard that it was an easy decision to sponsor them again. We are especially delighted to continue our support as they played so brilliantly last season.”
Cardea offers a diverse range of two, three and four-bedroom homes which are surrounded by open space and attractive walkways and cycle paths.
