Yorkshire vet group to invest £250k in thirteenth practice in Liverpool
A family-run Yorkshire headquartered veterinary group is investing £250k in a new clinic in the Gateacre area of Liverpool.
White Cross Vets, which has practices in Guiseley and Roundhay, already operates a successful practice in West Derby and the company will be creating up to eight new jobs at the new clinic which opened this week.
The practice will be run by local vet Penny Lott and a team of experienced veterinary nurses, Eve Loftus and Jenny Orsich.
Penny says: “We opened in West Derby in 2011 and the popular practice has treated over 3,500 pets in the past year alone. Our new practice is a state-of-the-art, fully equipped veterinary surgery where we will be able to perform a wide range of procedures from neutering to emergency operations and orthopaedic work.”
White Cross Vets has leased one of three retails units on the site which is being redeveloped by retail giant Aldi.
Tim Harrison, managing director of the family-run veterinary group says: “The opening of our second practice in Liverpool is a significant milestone for our business.
“Last year we opened our 12th practice in Tividale in the West Midlands and we have grown the business from 10 to a team of 110 in just five years, making us one of the fastest growing practices in the country.
“This expansion is a direct result of the increase in the number of clients registering with us across all 12 of our practices and we are also looking to open further practices in the next few years.”
