Insurance broker renews support for Coventry Rugby

Commercial insurance broker Inspire Insurance Services is making its mark at Coventry Rugby by renewing its sponsorship.

The award-winning independent firm, which operates throughout the UK from its base at Westwood Business Park in Coventry, has pledged its support for a fourth successive season as the National League One side targets promotion.

The sponsorship deal, which sees the company name emblazoned on the main stand and pitch-side at the Butts Park Arena, is a professional and personal triumph for managing director Leigh Mackey.

The year-on-year growth of the company he started from scratch in his home city has enabled Leigh to put his financial backing behind the club that he has supported for as long as he can remember.

Leigh said: “As a lifelong supporter of Coventry Rugby, it gives me immense pleasure to be able to sponsor the club for yet another season.

“The club came so close to promotion last season by finishing fourth in the league table and have their sights firmly set on The Championship for this campaign.

“If our sponsorship can help with that promotion push in some way and see a return to the glory days then that would make me incredibly proud.”

The deal has been made possible due to another successful 12 months of trading for Inspire Insurance Services.

The company achieved over 40 per cent growth over the last financial year and launched into new product lines and markets.

It also doubled the size of its premises in a move to Westwood Business Park to cater for its expanding client base and workforce.

Coventry Rugby said the renewed sponsorship deal with Inspire Insurance Services was the type of commitment the club needed to help achieve its ambitions.

Jon Sharp, chairman of Coventry Rugby, said: “It is fantastic to have Inspire Insurance Services on board again for this season, especially as Leigh is a lifelong supporter and we are hoping it will see our return to The Championship.

“It’s great that he is able to back the club in this way and gain this high level of prominence for his growing business at the same time.

“To have the support of a local company with a national industry profile is a tremendous boost.

“We look forward to a successful season on the pitch and an on-going alliance with Inspire Insurance Services.”
