Manchester IT firm receives £165k funding to finance relocation
Manchester-based IT Services Ltd has acquired a new premises in Cheadle thanks to funding support from The Royal Bank of Scotland (RBS)
The IT. support specialist, which currently hire 10 staff, has acquired and recently completed renovation work to the old ‘Driver Hire UK’ building on Stockport Road in Cheadle and plans to move into the property later this month.
RBS has supported the property acquisition and renovation with a £165k funding package consisting of a commercial mortgage, a loan and an overdraft facility.
The move will provide the company with the additional space it requires to accommodate its growing business.
Manchester I.T. Services was originally founded in the late 1990s and provides its customers with a wide range of services including general IT support, website hosting, consultancy services, broadband and internet services, server hosting and telecoms.
The loan has been provided under the Enterprise Finance Guarantee (EFG) Scheme, a Government-backed initiative designed to provide SMEs with investment finance.
John Williams, Managing Director of Manchester I.T. Services Limited said: “The funding support we have received from RBS has been excellent and has enabled us to acquire the property and carry out the extensive renovation works needed to make it suited to our business needs.
“Business growth has been very positive for us over the last few years and this, coupled with a recent large contract win and the need to increase staff numbers meant we had outgrown our existing office space.
“The new premises are excellent and provide us with plenty of room to grow into. Thanks to the EFG funding, we have been able to totally overhaul the building, changing the internal layout of the building to maximise office space, widen staircases and improve disabled access as well as fitting new kitchen and bathroom facilities.”
