Doncaster Sheffield Airport welcomes Italian routes from independent tour operator
Robin Hood Airport Doncaster Sheffield has announed that independent tour operator Newmarket Holidays has announced new packages to Italy.
The packages will take off from the Yorkshire airport in 2015.
With escorted tours including the ‘Seven Cities of Italy’, ‘Lake Garda’ and the ‘Italian Lakes’, along with independent trips to Italy on offer passengers will be able to make the most of the new links to the European destination.
Chris Harcombe, head of aviation development at Doncaster Sheffield Airport said: “Working with Newmarket Holidays we are delighted to be able to offer Italy as a destination from Doncaster.
“Package tours or independent travellers wishing to explore the beautiful towns and cities of Italy will now be able to do so from Doncaster from 2015.”
The ‘Seven Cities of Italy’ is an eight-day holiday exploring Italian cities with flights direct from Doncaster Sheffield Airport to Verona, before visiting Rome and Florence.
Amanda George, regional charter manager, from Newmarket Holidays said: “We know how important convenience and relaxation are to making our customers travel experience a special one, so we’re committed to providing great-value flights from many local airports around the country.
“We are pleased to be able to offer these trips to passengers from Yorkshire from their local airport.”
