Wigan Athletic’s vision for the future enhanced by optometrist deal
Wigan Athletic FC has signed a partnership agreement with local optometrist Suzanne Dennis.
The company, which has practices in Eccleston, Coppull, Parbold and Standish, has become the club’s official eye care partner for the 2014-15 season.
In a statement, the club said:
“Playing any sport requires good eyesight to be able to perform to the best of your ability and football is no exception. Kicking the ball requires excellent eye-foot co-ordination and peripheral awareness of other players is key.
Providing professional eye care and assessing the player’s eyes on a regular basis will ensure the team is at the top of its game“.
Adrian Baxendale, commercial director at Suzanne Dennis said: “We are delighted to be providing professional eye care to the club this season. A comprehensive eye examination and sports vision assessment is important for elite sportsmen, ensuring they maximise their game.”
Wigan Athletic head of commercial Ian Laithwaite added: “It is fantastic that we have been able to partner with such a successful local business, especially one which provides outstanding eye care not just for Latics players, but also to the local community.
“All at the club are delighted with the support received from Suzanne Dennis, and look forward to working with the company for many years ahead.”
In addition to providing eye care, Latics supporters can also benefit from the relationship, as Suzanne Dennis has extended an offer of 10% discount for all season ticket holders.
