Prepare for the cloud: Bosses invited to Leeds Business Week event
Businesses from across Yorkshire are being urged to draw up their battleplans for the cloud computing revolution.
Experts from Leeds-based Atlas Cloud will host a major event in the city to bring together companies who have adopted cloud technology or are planning for it.
As part of Leeds Business Week Atlas Cloud, which also has offices in Newcastle, London and Sheffield, will be headlining The Future of the Office on October 17 at the White Cloth Gallery on Aire Street to help Yorkshire businesses understand the potential benefits and challenges.
Jon Smith, Atlas Cloud’s Business Manager in Yorkshire, said: “Yorkshire has never been afraid of change and Leeds has been at the forefront of calls for cloud technology to be rolled out across the region.
“That’s why Atlas Cloud is here – to be at the centre of a revolution that will change the way thousands of offices are run. We hope the event will help Yorkshire draw up its battleplan to make the most of every opportunity the cloud offers.”
The event, run in association with Citrix Systems and Agenci Information Security, will tackle some of the main issues for businesses, including data security, how the cloud will affect key assets like staffing and finances and utility computing - the principle of paying only for what you use, when you use it.
