Funding available to help support Durham based startups
One of the 14 Area Action Partnerships covering County Durham, The 4 Together Partnership, has made funding available to help local startups.
Up to £8k is available for projects in Bishop Middleham, Chilton, Ferryhill, West Cornforth or those that directly benefit these areas.
Groups can apply for funding between £5k and £8k but projects must fit into one or more of a certain criteria to do so.
Potential startups must be geared towards supporting employment, training and job prospects.
Additionally, they are required to provide IT access and support in relation to welfare reform, employment and jobseekers allowance.
Specific gaps in Chilton have been identified and will be a priority.
Applications forms are reported to be returned by 23 October and final decisions will be made by the end of the year, with new projects expected to start in March 2015.
