Newcastle sees job openings grow by 59%
Job site CV-Library has reported that the Newcastle job market experienced an impressive boost in job and application numbers throughout September, indicating a strong commitment from local candidates to finding work after summer holidays.
Industries such as Administration, Engineering and Manufacturing/Surveying witnessed the most significant growth.
The number of jobs posted or renewed in the Newcastle area has increased by 59% over the last year, with a 27% boost in the last month alone.
CV-Library has analysed the job postings and applications for all roles within 10 miles of Newcastle to produce these findings.
Top performing industries for September in the Newcastle area include Engineering, Administration and Manufacturing/Surveying, respectively.
The number of job applications in the Newcastle area has increased by 9% since September 2013.
CV-Library processes more than 23 million job views and 2 million job applications per month and has more than 7.9 million CVs on their database.
