EventServ appointed as official Glastonbury supplier

After a successful festival season, one of the UK’s leading event infrastructure suppliers has been appointed as Glastonbury Festival’s official fencing supplier for the next two years.

EventServ provided fencing, crowd control barriers and flat foot barriers as well as installing lookout towers, perimeter observation towers and fire control towers to the 2014 Glastonbury Festival.

This has led to the renewal of EventServ’s contract to cover the 2015 and 2016 Glastonbury festivals.

Jackie Slade, site manager at Glastonbury 2014, explains: “There was a huge effort made from each and every person at EventServ and having a dedicated arrival and dispatch manager from the company on-site at all times was a great help.”

Over a 57 day period over 68km of fencing, 11km of crowd control barrier and 2.3km of flat foot barrier were delivered by EventServ to the Glastonbury festival site.

Lee Collis, south regional manager at EventServ, said: “To win a two year contract for Glastonbury is the ultimate recognition for EventServ, after another successful events season.

“Fencing is a necessity for every festival for mark out purposes. It isn’t a complex product but the delivery method for the quantities that are required for festivals can sometimes be a logistical challenge.

“The constant channel of communication that is open to all EventServ’s clients is what makes the company, and the events we provide to, a success.”
