Startup to be the TripAdvisor for Teesside’s financial services
Smart Money People, a customer experience and engagement platform focused solely on the Financial Services industry, has launched in Teesside.
The company asks its community to share their experiences of Financial Services, in order to help make their voice matter.
In the simplest of terms, the business can be described as the TripAdvisor for financial services in Teesside.
In return Smart Money People provides a unique peer ranking system that helps to increase transparency and demonstrates which companies are really offering the best overall customer experience.
Founded by Mike Fotis, 26, a former Financial Services consultant at Deloitte, and backed with seed capital from ‘TwentryThreeMiles’, a North East based fund, the platform launched this month, following two months of development.
Founder and CEO of Smart Money People, Mike Fotis, said: “There is a big idea behind Smart Money People.
“We want to use the power of our customer experiences to help bring a new level of transparency to the biggest industry in the UK.
“As an independent start-up, with a strong mission, Smart Money People is well placed to help build trust, and to make the Financial Services industry work better for everybody.”
“Today, customers don’t really know who offers the most recommended car insurance, or the best customer service for mortgages.
“The time to find this out is not when you’re making an insurance claim or while you’re one year into a 30 year mortgage.”
