City trio have Christmas all wrapped up

From crackers to coconuts – three of the North East’s top venues have Christmas all wrapped up.

1879 Events Management, which manages catering and events at the Stadium of Light, National Glass Centre and The Beach House, all in Sunderland, has unveiled its seasonal party guide, with events across all three sites starting from £17.50 per person.

Festive highlights at the Stadium of Light include a series of seasonal party nights, featuring a formal dinner or relaxed buffet, as well as live entertainment from top acts including 21st Century Girls, Joe Lawson and Chaser.

The stadium, which welcomed a record 15,000 people for Christmas in 2013, will also be hosting several ‘We Love the 90s’ tribute nights, featuring classic tracks from artists such as Peter Andre, Eternal and Ace of Base.

For those looking for something different, 1879 Event Management’s newest venue, The Beach House, located in a stunning seafront setting, will be serving up something a little more exotic, with a Hawaiian Christmas Beach Party taking place every Thursday, Friday and Saturday.

Each event, open to both corporate and private bookings, will include a mix of carnival-style music, as well a range of colourful decorations, a complimentary cocktail and a feast of tropical treats such as South Pacific seafood cocktail served in a coconut shell.

For those who prefer something a little more relaxed, 1879 Events Management will also be hosting a number of smaller party nights at the National Glass Centre Brasserie.

These events, ideal for family, friends and businesses, include a drink on arrival, a three-course meal and a party box for every guest, as well as complimentary crackers and a disco.

1879 Events Management’s seasonal entertainment programme starts at both the National Glass Centre and Beach House on November 27, followed by the Stadium of Light on November 28.

Entry starts from £17.50 per person, depending on the date, event and venue chosen. As an added incentive, anyone who books a seasonal celebration at the Stadium of Light for 20 people or more before October 31 will receive two free tickets to attend an SAFC home game, as well as a half bottle of wine per person for the group to enjoy on the night.
