Manchester’s Revolución de Cuba doubles turnover in time for its second birthday
Manchester Latin American bar and restaurant, Revolución de Cuba, has reported a 100% increase in annual turnover since its launch in 2012.
The venue, part of the New Inventive Bar Company, has reached full capacity every weekend since its opening in October 2012.
The number of employees at the flagship bar and restaurant on Peter Street has more than doubled from 56 to 115, whilst the management team has doubled from five to 10 and the number of chefs from seven to 14.
The Manchester venue was the fifth standalone Revolución de Cuba to open in the UK and is one of Inventive’s 67 venues nationwide.
The restaurant currently boasts a weekly footfall of 10,000 and an average of 3,000 guests on a Saturday night, with the restaurant accounting for 20% of the business’ turnover.
Ronnie Timmermans, general manager at Revolución de Cuba commented: “The hospitality industry is a competitive industry in which to work, yet we have surpassed all expectations. “There isn’t any real secret to our success; De Cuba has a unique offering with something for everyone, every day of the week and our approach to staff development attracts a hardworking and committed workforce.
“We look to innovate by introducing new menus and regular specials and we manage to stay ahead of the competition by pushing boundaries, investing, and critically reviewing our business and competitors on a regular basis.
“We are renowned for being one of the city’s best weekend party atmospheres and our second birthday celebrations will not disappoint.”
