Treske praised for "utmost professionalism" for work on Hackney church

Treske, the leading North Yorkshire manufacturer of bespoke furniture, kitchens and church furnishings, has designed and supplied a brand-new altar rail for Hackney Pentecostal Apostolic Church in London.

The award-winning company, based in Thirsk, has been praised by the church for “its utmost professionalism, from the very start of the project to the finish.”

Justin Bartlett, the owner and managing director of Treske, said: “We were delighted to hear that the altar rail has been so well-received by the Hackney Pentecostal Apostolic Church. This was a fascinating project for us, as the design of the altar rail had to match the ambience and spirit of the church.

“The altar rail was constructed out of solid European ash and designed by Mike McIntosh at our workshops in Thirsk. The ‘Fleur de Lys’ design created on the spindles and the three gates matches the joinery around the church, particularly in the balcony frontal which has some beautiful carved motifs all the way around.

“The wood is stained in a special finish to match the existing woodwork in the church. It has been built to last and we are very proud of the result,” added Mr Bartlett.

Howard White, the spokesman for the Pentecostal Church, which is in Middleton Road, Hackney, explained: “We needed to replace our existing altar rail with something more rigid and sturdy that would stand the test of time.

“We are tremendously pleased with the result and all our congregation love the new rail. I must say, from the very start of the project, through the manufacturing to the installation, Treske demonstrated the utmost professionalism. We are all exceptionally grateful for Treske’s assistance and co-operation.

“The altar rail was delivered on time and on budget and we will certainly be recommending Treske to other churches if they need new furniture,” added Mr White.

The Hackney Pentecostal Apostolic Church was founded in 1970 and moved to 39 Middleton Road on a leasehold in 1972, before buying the premises two years later. It is one of the most popular churches in the district.
