Tangerine appointed by Class of Your Own
Tangerine B2B has been appointed by Class of Your Own (COYO) to change young people’s perceptions of a career in the design, engineering and construction industry, and help fill the growing skills gap in the sector.
COYO provides accredited learning programmes for the built environment in secondary schools across the UK.
By bringing together educational establishments, the construction industry and young people, COYO aims to inspire and equip the next generation of design, engineering and built environment professionals with the academic knowledge and real world, practical skills that employers and the sector need.
Tangerine is offering ‘an integrated multi-channel communications campaign that will put the issue of the growing skills gap at the top of the news agenda and ensure COYO leads the debate on the issue’.
Alison Watson, managing director at COYO, said: “The construction industry offers young people brilliant job opportunities in an array of varied and vibrant roles, but in our experience these are rarely considered by students making their first career choices as they just don’t know what’s out there.
“Tangerine’s in-depth knowledge of the construction industry and complete understanding of what we’re trying to achieve at COYO makes it the perfect partner to help us educate young people and, equally, engage construction professionals.”
Sam Gregory, Tangerine B2B’s managing director, said: “COYO has a unique business proposition and genuinely cares about attracting and educating the next generation of construction industry professionals.
“The COYO team’s knowledge, passion and commitment to the industry, young people and their teachers is unmatched. It’s our job to channel that energy and expertise into a successful communications campaign that will give the brand the voice it needs to change perceptions and engage young people and industry professionals.”
