ENER-G enters Japanese green energy market

Green power specialist ENER-G is launching its products into Japan following a partnership agreement with Japanese firm Cornes Biogas. Working together, they have secured a first contract at Shikaoi municipal biogas plant in Hokkaido.

The partnership sees ENER-G’s Salford-made Combined Heat and Power (CHP) systems being exported to Japan, where they are to be installed, commissioned and maintained by Cornes.

Matthieu Chassagne, Head of International Business Development for ENER-G Combined Power, said: “We are delighted to welcome Cornes Biogas as our exclusive partner for Japan, where the company already has an impressive portfolio of biogas CHP projects. With ENER-G’s market leading CHP technology and their highly skilled and experienced engineering and maintenance teams, we make an excellent team and look forward to jointly developing many more renewable energy projects.”

Toru Koyama, Chief Executive of Cornes Biogas, said: “ENER-G has been a market leader in CHP for 30-years and we respect the quality of their technology. Working with them we hope to provide our customers with the best possible performance from green energy at a time when Japan is strengthening its energy resilience.”

The announcement of the partnership agreement comes just after the launch of ENER-G’s new E-Power CHP remote monitoring and control system. This innovation will alert Cornes’ service engineers to any anomalies and operational issues which can be dealt with quickly and efficiently.

The Cornes group of companies was established more than 150 years ago in Yokohama, Japan, and today encompasses a wide range of products and services, including luxury automobiles, marine charts and related publications, kitchenware, electronics, high-tech products and equipment, and dairy and agricultural machinery.

ENER-G has been Europe’s leading provider of small packaged CHP systems for the past 30 years. The Salford-based company designs, manufactures, finances, operates and maintains CHP units across the globe, working with a network of partners with technical expertise and local market knowledge.
