Latest North West appointments
Firms across the region continue to add to their staff strength as confidence generally increases.
Leading integrated communications consultancy, Tangerine, has appointed of eight new recruits to its B2B and Consumer teams at their Manchester base.
Earlier this year, Tangerine became a 60-strong team and is adding more practitioners at manager, executive and apprentice level, to work on its wide ranging portfolio of global and national clients.
Appointed to the consumer team is Manisha Jani, who joins from McCann Manchester as junior account manager.
Manisha will play a key role in organic growth and developing the consultancy’s consumer portfolio, including Peugeot, Wilko and E.on. With experience at London agency, Clarion PR, Melissa Clayton joins the team as account executive and will work on accounts including Atkins and JW Lees.
The B2B team has hired Aaron Eastwood from MTJ Associates, as senior account executive. Aaron will work on clients including Dulux Trade, Encirc and the Together Trust, alongside newly appointed junior account executives, Amy Cantrill and Calum Metcalfe.
Continuing to invest in young talent through its social media apprenticeship programme, The Juice Academy, Tangerine has recruited college leavers Jody Hackney, Hollie Stirrip and Sean Fielding across the B2B and B2C teams.

Within 12 months of launching The Juice Academy, Tangerine’s apprenticeship programme achieved a Certificate of Excellence in the Innovator of The Year category at the SABRE Awards 2014, and was highly commended in the SME Newcomer Employer of the Year category at the NAS Employer Awards 2014.
In Cheshire, Warrington-headquartered national fuel and lubricant distributor Certas Energy has appointed Jack Lavington as its new director of operations.
He will have the responsibility for the company’s operations functions across England and Wales.His remit will include transport, logistics, and all other operational activity.
In addition, he will also offer support and advice to the operations functions across the Scottish regions and play a major role in influencing and improving the customer service strategy.

In finance, Lloyds Bank has boosted its Commercial Banking operations in Manchester with the appointment of Hunter Inkster as Business Development Director. He will focus on bringing new commercial clients with turnovers of over £25 million to the Bank.
He moves from his role as Relationship Manager at the Bank of Scotland, where he has worked for the last four years focusing on mid market clients. Prior to that, he spent four years in various roles across Lloyds Banking Group.
The new appointment brings the Mid Markets Manchester team, based at Spring Gardens, to a total of 30 staff.

And Preston-based home care specialist, Community Life Choices, has appointed a new senior staff member to facilitate continued growth.
Gareth Monk, 31, from Leyland, joins the firm as a children’s and families support advisor.
He will be responsible for delivering personalised care provision for children, aged between four and sixteen, and their families across five Merseyside boroughs - Knowsley, Sefton, Halton, Wirral and Liverpool – as well as helping expand the firm’s North West client base.
He said: “It’s great to be part of such an ambitious business where I can truly make a difference to families across the region.
“I was extremely impressed with CLC’s personalised, client-centred approach, something which is crucial in today’s care industry, and this made the decision to join full-time extremely easy.
“This role offers an exciting mix of one-to-one support and new business development and I look forward to helping grow and expand an already skilled team.”
