Harrogate beer distribution firm expands in time for Christmas
Harrogate-based beer distribution company BeerHawk.co.uk has moved to Saltergate Business Park in response to demand for its speciality beers, and in anticipation of increased trade ahead of the Christmas period.
Beer Hawk distributes bottle beers from breweries worldwide was set up in 2012 and outgrew its previous premises in Harrogate after quadrupling its turnover in its last financial year.
The company now occupies 2,268 sq ft at the popular Saltergate business park just outside Harrogate.
The company is a winner of the Rising Star award in the Growth Accelerator scheme and is an Outstanding Small Business finalist in the IGD food and drink industry awards.
Chris France, director of Beer Hawk says: “We pride ourselves on hunting down the word’s very best beer, stocking more than 300 delicious ales from across the globe to offer to beer lovers in their own homes nationwide.
“Consumer demand and interest in the craft beer market has seen us grow rapidly in size over the past twelve months. This move means that we are perfectly positioned - in every sense – to quench the thirst of Britain’s beer lovers.”
National property consultants Carter Jonas are managing agents for Saltergate Business Park with senior surveyor Henry Erdozain overseeing the letting.
Henry Erdozain commented: “Saltergate is an attractive business park for many North Yorkshire businesses because of it rural location, good mix of tenants and excellent transport links.
“We’re delighted to welcome Beer Hawk as the latest occupier at the park and to see the company continuing to expand.”
Saltergate Business Park provides a mixture of warehouse and light industrial units three miles west of Harrogate. Current tenants on the park include, Pets Perfect, Pretty Paws, Bespoke Cars, Cornering force, NYCC and Tetley’s Electrical Contractors.
