Shackletons transform care home vision
A 1.5million pound care home extension and refurbishment programme at the independent and family run Inwood House in Horbury, Wakefield, West Yorkshire, engaged Shackletons to create the best possible care environment.
Shackletons provided a bespoke interior design and manufacture consultation service to deliver a full furnishings package for the home’s 20 bedrooms, lounges, orangery, occasional and reception areas.
Bespoke furniture was designed and manufactured to the care home’s specific needs allowing for individual residents’ mobility and comfort needs. Occasional furniture fit for visiting family and friends, and all soft furnishings, were designed and manufactured by Shackletons to create a modern and homely environment.
Wendy Barraclough, owner of Inwood House says: “My husband and I have owned Inwood for 32 years and we’re looking forward to taking the business through to our eventual retirement. Our hearts are very much in Inwood and Shackletons really helped us see our plans come to fruition.”
Offering an in-house café, hairdressing salon, orangery and bespoke reception and waiting area the project completed this month and can boast being one of the most modern and comprehensive care environments in the Wakefield area.
