Another lift for mobility specialists

NORTH EAST mobility specialist Shape Adaptations Limited has secured a prestigious new contract.

Shape Adaptations, which is based at Kingston Park’s Independent Living Showroom (ILS), will now exclusively represent leading disability equipment supplier Osprey Healthcare across the North East as part of an ongoing deal worth £100k.

The sought-after contract win means Osprey customers will now benefit from the state-of-the-art ILS showroom, which will showcase Osprey products, and the Shape teams expert product knowledge and experience.

Bob Lines, owner of the Independent Living Showroom, said the news continues a successful year for the firm which has seen a sales increase of 46% and the creation of two new full-time jobs.

He added: “We are really proud to have been awarded the Osprey Healthcare contract. It’s testament to our firm belief in our commitment to quality products and first class customer service and cements ILS’s and Shape’s reputation as the region’s premier mobility specialists.

“Osprey is another welcome boost to our product range and will give our customers an even better choice of mobility solutions.”

Osprey Healthcare is a leading supplier of all types of adult and paediatric disability equipment across the UK.

Bob said he and the team were obviously delighted to win the contract and added that the deal showed the importance of the firm’s focus on forming strong working relationships with like-minded companies.

Independent Living Showroom was born after stairlift provider, Dolphin Lifts and Mobility, and specialist adaptation company, Shape Adaptations, joined forces in 2012.

The purpose-built ILS showroom, which showcases the North East’s biggest range of mobility equipment from leading manufacturers such as Stannah, Otolift, AKW, Meditek and Osprey, has proved very popular with customers who want to experience, compare and also see products in-situ before they buy.
