Arch launch new WorkSpace development on Blyth Quayside

Arch, the Northumberland Development Company, has completed structural building work at a new WorkSpace development in Blyth.

The development has received investment from the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF) Competitiveness Programme 2007 – 2013, the Homes and Communities Agency, Arch and the North East Local Enterprise Partnership’s North East Investment Fund.

Situated at at Commissioners Quay, on Blyth Quayside, the development will be available for occupation from February 15.

Businesses requiring space are being encouraged to take a look at the new building as Arch are taking reservations now and arranging tours around the site.

The new Workspace constructed by Bowmer and Kirkland Limited and managed by Archhas been designed by architectural practice xsite architecture.

The development will help to regenerate and enhance Blyth Estuary’s reputation as a centre of excellence in energy and research.

Over the next three years, Arch is leading the delivery of a mixed use development of the wider Commissioners Quay site as part of the broader regeneration of Blyth Estuary and town centre.

The space will reportedly boast highly energy efficient building, with state-of-the-art facilities, professional reception, dedicated high speed broadband, free parking, rapid electric car charging points, 24/7 security services including CCTV.

Located on the River Blyth, nestled between the Port of Blyth and Narec and adjacent to the desirable area of Ridley Park, the new serviced office accommodation consists of approx.1,950 sq. m (21,000 sq. ft.) of office space to let with a range of office sizes from 20 sqm to 100 sqm, meeting and events spaces, high quality landscaping and access.

Deputy Leader of Northumberland County Council and Chair of Arch, Cllr Dave Ledger, said: “This is a flagship project for Arch, our partners and Blyth, designed to build on key business strengths and to establish facilities which will attract and grow new jobs and high growth enterprises.

“The new workspace will be central to the wider regeneration of the Quay.

“Our aim is to offer high-quality serviced office accommodation aimed to attract businesses in the energy sector which will add an exciting new dimension to the site and wider development and regeneration of the Blyth Estuary.”
