Manchester’s Farleys sets up service for budding female entrepreneurs

Farleys’ Solicitors has set up a brand new service specifically targeting female entrepreneurs across Manchester.

The firm has been working with a large numbers of start ups launched by women in the past 12 months and created the service to offer specific advice on Company and Employment law.

The service will be offered through workshops available at lunchtimes and evenings, all designed to fit in with women’s professional and family lives.

Debbie King, partner at Farleys, said: “We have seen a marked increase in the number of women setting up their own business in the past 12 months and wanted to create a bespoke service specifically to ensure all their needs are met at our ‘one stop’ shop. Sectors where they are flourishing include the media/creative industries, catering, recruitment and retail.

“This is also evident in recent statistics from the Federation of Small Businesses which shows a dramatic number of women starting-up businesses than at any previous time.

“Half (49.5%) of small firms established in the past two years in retail, or hotels, catering and leisure are owned primarily by women”. The services available to female entrepreneurs will be offered through a series of free one hour initial advice sessions, bookable in advance by contacting the firm.
