New head for Grant Thornton’s Manchester Transaction Advisory team

Grant Thornton UK LLP has appointed a new partner to head up its Transaction Advisory Services team in the North West.

Philip Grindley, previously at PwC Germany, will head up a team of eight in Manchester.

As well as over 14 years’ experience of providing transaction and due diligence advice for corporate and private equity clients, Philip also has an impressive international track record, having worked on deals across Europe and in the USA.

Ali Sharifi, national head of the firm’s corporate finance practice said: “Philip’s appointment is just the beginning of the growth plan for the advisory team. There are ambitious plans ahead and with his experience, Philip will play a key role in moving those forward.”

Philip Grindley said: “I’d been looking to move back to the UK for some time and Grant Thornton seemed like the perfect fit. The firm has exciting plans for the North West practice and it’s a great time to be joining.

“The advisory team is already extremely well respected in the market and I’m really looking forward to working with them to build on their current success and to further develop strong relationships in the region.”
