LMH secures £4.2 million contract with Cheshire West and Chester Council

Liverpool Mutual Homes (LMH) has won a five-year contract worth £4.2 million with Cheshire West and Chester Council to manage its new ‘Home Assistance Hub’ for residents.

LMH already operates across 15,000 homes and, along with its repairs and maintenance company, HMS, will deliver a wide range of home improvement services for residents in Cheshire West and Chester.

It will manage and provide disabled facilities grants, minor work adaptations, basic repair services and decent homes loans for owner-occupiers.

Director of landlord services at LMH, Angela Forshaw said: “Home assistance is a crucial area of work and we will bring previously fragmented services together into a unified and easy to understand system for residents.

“For example, the disabled facilities grant service will see us manage the whole process from means testing individuals and processing their applications to appointing HMS to deliver the work.

“Residents will have one point of contact and a high level of service that is easy to understand and follow.”
