Apadmi Group almost trebles workforce in just four years
Staff numbers have almost trebled at the Apadmi Group over the last four years and the Manchester-based business has revealed that it is expecting to nearly double turnover once again.
The Apadmi Group now has 71 members of staff[1] compared to only 25 members of staff in 2010/11, meaning its headcount has increased by 184 per cent in just four years. The Apadmi Group comprises the UK’s leading mobile app developer Apadmi, which is based in Manchester, and digital market research company RealityMine, which operates out of Manchester, Los Angeles and New York.
Revenues have also soared over the same period. The Apadmi Group’s turnover grew by 90 per cent in 2010/11, 130 per cent in 2011/12 and 8 per cent in 2012/13. What’s more, the group forecasts turnover will have grown by another 78 per cent in 2013/14.
This constant growth is even more impressive given the fact that the Apadmi Group was only founded in 2009.
Since being set up by directors Garry Partington, Nick Black, Howard Simms and Adam Fleming in 2009, Apadmi has developed apps for some of the UK’s biggest names. For example, it built the BBC iPlayer Radio App, The Guardian Witness App, The X Factor App and the BT Wi-fi App.
Meanwhile, RealityMine, named ‘Rising Star’ at the 2014 Northern Tech Awards and winner of the Innovation & Enterprise Award at this year’s Trafford Business Awards, was set up by directors Garry Partington and Rolfe Swinton in 2012. It has since worked with clients across Europe, North America and Asia, serving the world’s leading market research and media brands.
Garry Partington, chief executive officer of Apadmi and RealityMine, said: “We’re delighted with how rapidly the Apadmi Group has grown since its foundation in 2009.
“Despite launching in a recession, our group has been able to consistently take on new members of staff and boost revenues every year. This is a real testament to the hard work of our employees, while also demonstrating that there is an ever-greater appetite among businesses for high-quality mobile solutions.
“Looking ahead, I’m convinced that the Apadmi Group will continue to prosper in the coming years. We’re now looking to recruit more staff and turnover is expected to rise again as businesses put their trust in us again and again.”
