Consett accountant buys out rival firm in expansion drive
Consett-based accountancy firm Kevin Lee Accountants has bought a rival firm, trebled its client base and appointed a second member of staff, as part of the firm’s rapid business expansion.
The firm has appointed Chris Daniels, former group accountant for the Co-operative’s £6 billion logistics division to help with its expansion plans.
Early successes at the accountancy firm which was established in May this year have enabled the business to appoint a new member of staff.
Chris, who lives in Tanfield Lee, Stanley, graduated with a mathematics degree from Imperial College London, before he trained with KPMG as an accountant.
He then joined the Co-operative to work as group accountant for its £5 billion logistics division.
Chris, said: “I am delighted to be joining this fast growing accountancy firm at such a crucial stage in its business growth.
“I have only just joined the practice but I’m very impressed at its achievements to date and the rapid growth of its client base.
“I’m really looking forward to working with Kevin to deliver a top notch service – working in partnership with clients to help them identify business opportunities to build and grow their profits.
Kevin added: “Chris has a great deal of experience working for a range of blue companies and he will play a key role in helping us to move the business to the next level.
“Following the acquisition of rival accountancy firm Accounting Solutions based in Newton Aycliffe , Kevin Lee Accountants now have over 50 clients in their portfolio and are looking to grow their client base significantly over the next two years.”
