Newcastle's Bambu to become Filthy McNasty’s following £750k investment
Northern Irish bar group Hathor Inns are to transformed former nightclub Bambu, on the Bigg Market in Newcastle, into late night venue Filthy McNasty’s after a £750k refurbishment.
Bambu, which closed its doors in November of last year, is set to become the fourth FilthyMcNasty’s bar in the country, with others in London, Belfast and Nottingham.
The new owners have invested £750k in the ongoing redevelopment of the building.
The new nightclub will create 30 jobs and is expected to open in the “coming months.”
The venue will host a range of unconventional entertainment including boxing, film screenings as well as karaoke booths.
Bambu, which was a 1,300-capacity venue, entered administration in last 2013 after its operator PBR leisure experienced financial difficulties.
