Developer donates gift to residents

A housing developer contributed to a frightfully good event organised by Leeming Bar Residents’ Association.

Mulberry Homes Yorkshire, which is building 82 new homes in Leeming Bar, donated a Lewis & Cooper hamper, which was the main raffle prize at a Halloween-themed family fun event held in village play park.

The event included pumpkin carving, creepy crafts, gruesome games, fancy dress and scary stories.

Jackie Kennedy, Events Coordinator for Leeming Bar Residents’ Association, said: “The gift of the Halloween hamper by Mulberry Homes Yorkshire was very generous and it contributed significantly to the money we raised at the event.

“Our Association was set up to bring back community spirit to the village so it is nice to receive support from a business like Mulberry Homes Yorkshire, which is new to the area but which obviously wants to contribute to the community and to enhancing the area.”

Joanne James, of Mulberry Homes Yorkshire, said: “We were delighted to be able to support the Association by donating a hamper for the Halloween raffle.

“By building new homes in the heart of the village we are hoping to make a major contribution to community life in Leeming Bar.”

From 15th November, people interested in buying a property at Leeming Gate will be able to visit the new sales office that is opening. The first properties will be ready to move in to by spring 2015 and Mulberry is now accepting advance reservations.
