‘Thirsty Thursday’ brings Hambleton businesses together
Businesses and individuals in Stokesley and the surrounding areas are being invited to a new networking event. ‘Thirsty Thursday’ will take place at various locations in Stokesley, launching at The Mill on Thursday 13th November. The aim of the informal get-together is to allow businesses to meet after work, between 5pm and 7pm, and talk about new projects, events and opportunities.
The idea came about following the success of similar events in Northallerton and Middlesbrough where a group of individuals recognised the need for an informal networking event for people living and working in Stokesley and the surrounding towns and villages. Anna Addison, who runs PR company Anna Addison Associates in Stokesley, is helping to organise ‘Thirsty Thursday’ alongside Sue Thompson who runs design company, Catch Design Management.
Anna said: “There is such a thriving business community in and around Stokesley. Many of us are self-employed consultants- everything from web experts and graphic designers to physiotherapists and artists- who have met at a range of events arranged by organisations such as Superfast North Yorkshire and Hambleton District Council.
Sue said: “As far as we’re aware, there isn’t any business networking events like this for Stokesley and places such as Osmotherley, Swainby, Seamer and Hutton Rudby so we really hope that ‘Thirsty Thursday’ takes off and we all get to meet one another- and possibly do business together in the future.” The first Thirsty Thursday takes place on Thursday 13th November at The Mill on Springfield in Stokesley between 5 and 7pm. Businesses from around Stokesley are invited to attend For more details visit http://thirstythursdaystokesley.eventbrite.co.uk
