Derelict hairdressers turned into £30k wellbeing centre by Sheffield RUFC physio

Sheffield RUFC physiotherapist turned health entrepreneur, Katie Bell, has launched a new Health and Wellness Centre with a £30k investment.

Based on the site of the former Healdline hairdressers which has been derelict for over five years, the new centre has transformed the disused space and surrounding area. It will create 8 new jobs including two apprenticeships.

Officially opened by the Lord Mayor and Lady Mayoress, it will offer physiotherapy, acupuncture, massage and nutritional reviews alongside a programme of Yoga and Pilates classes for all abilities including ante and post natal.

Owner Katie Bell is a Sheffield Hallam graduate who has worked in the city for the last decade.

She said; “I’m really excited to have finally opened the doors of Katie Bell Physiotherapy and Wellness. Our approach is all about looking for the cause of people’s pain and not just treating the effect.

“The centre itself aims to offer more than just a clinical experience. I have created a relaxed, warm and calming environment and look forward to welcoming clients old and new to experience it for themselves.

“Our aim is to make sure that we can find a pathway to get all of our clients back to fitness fast by creating personalised plans. It has been a dream of mine for many years to own my own practice and I am thrilled that this is now a reality.”
