Celebrating 20 years of providing IT Solutions

One of the UK’s leading and longest established providers of IT infrastructure and support is celebrating 20 years in business.

Onyx Group, which started its life in 1994 as an ISP provider in Middlesbrough, now employs more than 120 staff across its ten UK sites and offers a comprehensive IT infrastructure and support service.

Neil Stephenson, CEO of Onyx Group, said: “We are delighted to be celebrating this significant milestone in Onyx’s history. The company has developed from a regional, home grown IT company to a national technology provider.

Due to a combination of organic growth, product development and a number of major acquisitions, Onyx has seen its customer base grow to a core of more than 500 clients. It has expanded across the UK with sites in Edinburgh, Glasgow, Stockton, Newcastle, London and Yorkshire and has developed new services and products that are tailored specifically to meet the needs of businesses in a number of vertical markets.

Serving some of the UK’s best known businesses, Onyx has been listed in The Sunday Times Tech Track 100 which monitors the fastest growing technology companies in the UK. The company saw its turnover approach £20million in 2013, a 13 per cent increase on the previous year and have witnessed further growth throughout 2014.

Onyx Group offers businesses throughout the North East access to their 200 rack state-of-the-art Data Centre and over 300 seats at their workplace recovery centres in Stockton and Gateshead.
