North Yorkshire timber firm increases sales 50% after digital investment
North Yorkshire timber firm NY Timber has seen a massive increase in sales after investing in their online presence.
After investing in their website and digital presence, NY’s online flooring sales have increased 50% over the last 12 months.
The firm has a turnover of £15 million and employs 130 people across North Yorkshire and the North East.
Nick Kershaw, NY Timber managing director said: “We did a lot of work on the website creating a bigger and better gallery of images to help customers with their decision making.
“Our biggest online order to date, well over £10,000, has been for bespoke oak flooring specialist Dennebos’ Tate, a distinctive fine sawn smoked and white oiled board, for a barn conversion in Bristol.
“A member of their family has also just placed an order for the same product for her own home too.
“We send samples on request and customers can always email for special advice, or ring to speak to one of our expert staff, so they can buy online with confidence.
“With our 34 year history as timber specialists behind it flooringanddoors.co.uk is much more than just a website. Customers appreciate that.
“We ensure prices are competitive, including against those of other online retailers for oak flooring and doors who are often offering a cheap alternative with shorter board lengths and different finishes.”
